The Career of Poker Player Steve Badger
It was in the 1980s when poker professional Steve Badger started playing poker at casinos in Santa Cruz, California. He first learned to play flop games and then shifted to ring games until he decided to focus on the poker tournament circuit when he moved to Los Angeles, California.
Steve Badger has several admirable finishes in 1998. The first one was on February 24, when he placed fifth in a Limit Omaha Hi/Lo game at the 1998 Los Angeles Poker Classic. On June 10, he placed third in an Omaha Hi/Lo game of the California State Poker Championship, and on June 14, he became a runner up in a Limit Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo game of the California State Poker Championship.
In 1999, Steve Badger had his first real victory when he won a World Series of Poker bracelet from his participation in a Limit Omaha Hi/Lo event on May 4. Aside from such victory, it was also during this year when he won Omaha events at the Los Angeles Poker Classic that was conducted at the Commerce Casino and at the National Championship of Poker that was conducted at the Hollywood Park Racetrack.
Steve Badger was very active in the poker tournament circuit in 2000. He was participating in various events such as the Winnin' O the Green Tournament, the Sport of Kings Tournament, the American Poker Classic tournament, the Legends of Poker tournament, the National Championships of Poker tournament, the Tom McEvoy's Poker Spectacular tournament, and the Guaranteed Weekend tournament.
In 2001, Steve Badger was also active in his participation in major poker events. However, the most notable of all was when he became a runner up in the Limit Omaha Hi/Lo event of the 1st Annual World Poker Challenge and a runner up in another Limit Omaha Hi/Lo event, but this time it was of the America's Poker Classic tournament.
Steve Badger became a first placer in a Winnin' O the Green Tournament that was held on March 11, 2002. In the following year, he once again became a first place winner in the same tournament.
Steve Badger was visible in more Winnin' O the Green Tournaments in the following years and he always successfully experienced money finishes.
This poker professional says that he owes his poker skills to some of the poker giants that he respects.
When he is not playing poker, Steve Badger loves to watch movies and listen to rock and roll music. Among his favorite celebrities are Mary Wollstonecraft and Henry David Thoreau, while his favorite musicians are Eddie & the Tide, Joan Jett, and Bruce Springsteen.
